Envelope1976 Ceremonial SS25 Show @ Oslo Runway
Norwegian influencer Celine Aagaard debuted her very-demure sustainable label Envelope1976 at Oslo Runway just 6 years ago. She grew up enchanted by her father’s stories of going to Studio 54 with Andy Warhol in New York City and meeting Salvador Dalí. Back in the day, she used to hand-knit clothes for her dolls and broke her mother’s needles customizing her denim in the 90’s. So, it’s no wonder between her crafty beginnings and her elder-Millennial age (growing up in last best decade there was) that she has an eye for style—and substance.
Last year, the free-spirited influencer-turned-designer ran barefoot over the uncovered floors of an Oslo car park when taking her bows after Envelope1976's fashion show.
In a complete aesthetic juxtaposition, this year, at her SS25 presentation “The Ceremony” in the theme of “Four Weddings and a Funeral” at the church-turned-runway venue Jakob Church of Culture, she did the same, but in more suitable surroundings. "It was a bit more comfortable this time," she joked with Vogue Scandinavia. "We always pick spaces that already exist and reuse elements we have," she adds. "I have always been a huge fan of the traditional runway format – and with the right concept, theme, music, models, and walk, it's a magical way for a brand to show a collection and at the same time create a visual identity."
