Stamm: SS25 Looks at CPHFW

Stamm’s “Best Wishes” SS25 Collection

Launching in 2022, Stamm is a CPHFW NEW TALENT designer to watch. For her SS25 collection, the designer sent out a message of positivity with defiantly punky, oversized fits ushered in by a flock of live carrier pigeons.

With shirts rhinestoned with the word “guilty” Stamm designer Elisabet Stamm decided to go a little cheeky this year, sending out a positive message before opening her show. Taking place on a basketball court atop the massive CIFF trade show, the show opened with a flock of carrier pigeons, released by loads of children, including the designer’s son. “I don’t want it to be too corny, like this is the exact message,” says Stamm. “We just send up something positive. So they take off from the roof and they are trained to fly back to where they live.” The collection is fittingly called 'Best Wishes'.

The collection referenced an anime doll-like playfulness—models wore bleach blonde spike wigs and otherworldly blue contacts . “It’s a little bit like, ‘Bless you’, but also a little bit like, ‘F*** you’,” Elisabet says. She played off the CPHFW trends with her signature oversized silhouettes — slouchy denim and boots, oversized track jackets and big boyish rugby shirts. These looks were juxtaposed by body-con pieces in understated tencel wool that draped down the body. For Stamm, it’s all about duality – positive and negative, ying and yang, dark and light. “Sometimes there is no right and wrong,” she says. Even the candy pink feels simultaneously sweet and sour.

While a Stamm show very much set a vibe, there’s also craft at play in the material utilizing a waxy, recycled nylon outwear with a memory quality (“When you touch it, it leaves a mark”) and crisp functional recycled twill workwear.
