Norway’s Matre Furniture Debut

Matre is a vision by Elizabeth Matre-Aas with a new brand campaign out of Oslo that just launched the 29th of August. With a tagline of “Made for Life” the brand embraces their rich Norwegian design heritage by creating new designs and reinvigorating iconic classics while also borrowing from the fundamentals of Bauhaus and modernist form and function.

Behind The Scenes
Matre held their debut party on the 3rd of September (along with a “design salon”), held at Kunstnernes Hus, a modern art museum, in Oslo. DJ’d by Frank&Ron, the party was preceded by a paneled discussion featuring Cecilie Molvær Jørgensen (formerly of BO BEDRE), Andreas Engesvik, and Ragnhild Bakkland Grytten.
