Norway’s Holzweiler x Bjarne Melgaard x Caviar Kaspia Capsule Collab

An Unexpected Curatorial Ménage À Trois

Holzweiler brought a Paris Fashion Week dinner party to life, celebrating their collab with artist Bjarne Melgaard at the iconic Caviar Kaspia’s Madeleine location.

The Norwegian fashion brand Holzweiler by founders Susanne Holzweiler and Andreas Holzweiler as well as designer Maria Skappel Holzweiler paired up to collaborate with luxury dining icon Caviar Kaspia, and provocative artist Bjarne Melgaard delivered a striking presentation that blurred the lines between art, fashion, and haute cuisine.

The brand has grown from a small little pipe-dream to 180 employees and into 11 stores including ones in Oslo, Copenhagen, London and Shanghai—becoming one of Scandinavia’s hottest imports as a now global brand that’s become a cult-favorite on Instagram.

Coinciding with the labels 10th anniversary, the limited-edition capsule unveiled silk and wool scarves (harkening back to the brand’s beginnings), down outerwear, jerseys, and merch items including matchboxes and lighters adorned with characters “Mr. Caviar” and “Miss Caviar” designed by Melgaard.

Melgaard’s influence was unmistakable, with his provocative imagery woven into the collection’s bold prints and experimental cuts. His work, which has been exhibited at prestigious galleries such as Gagosian, Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, and White Cube, is infamous for addressing taboo subjects and societal limits. This daring energy translated directly onto the runway, giving Holzweiler’s typically clean and minimalist designs a rebellious edge.

Fifteen 3D printed, hand-finished sculptures and three large-scale sculptures created by Melgaard from deadstock Holzweiler material for the collaboration were also be available for purchase for the occasion.

We live together, and we caviar together.

The collaboration was about more than just garments—it was a multi-sensory experience that combined fashion and art with luxury gastronomy. The incorporation of Caviar Kaspia’s (who just collaborated with Gigi Hadid) timeless elegance with Melgaard’s confrontational aesthetic added a layer of cultural commentary to the event, pushing boundaries and sparking conversations.

Founded in Paris in 1927, Caviar Kaspia is the House that contributed to the rise of “Caviar Culture” in France and abroad, by imposing it on all prestigious tables, it made for an elegant reception party.

By blending three distinct creative disciplines—fashion, art, and fine dining—this collaboration stood out as one of the most talked-about moments of Paris Fashion Week SS25. It demonstrated Holzweiler’s ability to evolve and adapt while staying true to its roots, with Melgaard’s artistic vision bringing a fresh, avant-garde twist to their collection. The show redefined what a runway event can be, offering not just fashion but a narrative and a fusion of high culture.

The Collection

Family is at the heart of the brand, resulting in matching ‘brother and sister’ styles like the Besseggen and Dovre, or the Loen and Lom down jackets. These matching sets feature identical technical features such as water resistance, mechanical stretch and RDS-certified down padding. For the first time this year, all four styles are available in navy, and can be matched with the navy Slogen Bubble mittens.
